Dashboard
Most of the features of your website that you will want to manage, edit or consult can be easily accessed from your Dashboard. You can think of it as the control panel of your site.
To access the dashboard you must first login with your user name and password. A basic dashboard, which includes features that you will use on a regular basis, is displayed in the left sidebar after you have logged into your site as an editor. If you login as an admin (site administrator) there will be additional features that are shown in the dashboard. Normally you will only need to login as an admin when changing the design or basic functionality of the website. For the most part these are things that will be taken care of in the initial set up and do not normally need to be accessed later. At the beginning we will provide you with user names and passwords for at least one site administrator and one editor. More cn be created if necessary. Using your dashboard will be simpler if you login as an editor.
Scrolling over the various items in the dashboard will generally open an additional menu. Clicking one of those menu items will open its associated page or function.
The first item in the Dashboard will be labeled LibriDirect, which is divided into 4 sections, as described below. These 4 sections cover all the essential activities involved in maintaining your book inventory and processing sales.
